War risk categories and areas

Due to the increase of terrorism, war and crises in the world we are changing the guidelines for war risk insurance. We are separating the war risk countries into two categories. Countries in the first category are the most risky areas. For these countries we are granting insurance coverage on case by case basis. The pricing of the insurances is also depending on the nature of the journey.

Clarification form for war risk area

In order to calculate the tariff according to the risk we will need more specific information on the journey, travel line, security arrangements and other issues related to the journey. For this purpose we have established a separate clarification form. The result of this risk survey may cause rejection of war insurance.

War risk limitation in terms and conditions

We will not indemnify a loss or injury, which is caused by war, rebellion or some other corresponding event, unless it has been otherwise separately agreed and stated in the Insurance Policy. This exclusion shall not be applied during the first 14 days of beginning of an armed operation, if it concerns an event other than a major war, and if the Insured Person has already commenced his/her Journey before the event began and has not himself participated in the above mentioned operation.
